We are so proud of these boys for going above and beyond to submit an entry! Win or lose, you're winners here at LHE! “If kids ruled the world....”
If your Fourth or Fifth Grader aspires to be a writer or just wants to give their take on the subject, here is chance to be heard and published in Austin Family Magazine. All they have to do is write 75 to 300 words, and then you go to our website and enter their essay by October 15. It is that simple. Entry is free. Entries are judged by Carmen Oliver, author and member of Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. There will be a winner and runner-up in the Fourth and Fifth Grade categories. We will have the reveal at their school (school allowing) and present each winner and runner up with a plaque. Winner will also receive a party for him/her and nine of their friends at Dave and Buster's. Sign up Here: https://austinfamily.com/2018-young-writers-contest/ If your child submits an essay, please let me know so I can celebrate them in class! :) I am working hard on collaborating with the classroom teachers regarding your child's progress. I will attend as many conferences as I can. Those who receive language arts and/or math instruction in the TAG portable are also welcome to sign up on the sign up genius that I shared earlier this week.
